In response to Dave Barton's comment “It's pretty quiet lately”

Just 3 years ago we were vibrant, effective, and full of optimism. Today we would struggle to find the energy to go out and vote.

What has happened to us?

In 2010 we worked to elect a Congress that promised to be fiscally responsible, bold, and Constitutional. By August of 2011, many of those whom we supported had already been corrupted by the Washington establishment and jumped on the boehner train to ruin. Sandy Adams and Allen West come to mind with their support of the debt limit deal which transformed into the fiscal cliff. Two years after our efforts, the nation was $3trillion more in debt.

Many of us, myself included, believe that 2012 was the last chance for our country to correct its fiscal course, and on November 6 found ourselves outnumbered. The days that followed dragged us through the emotions of disappointment, depression, and finally disgust. After 50 years of rewarding the least talented, least intelligent, and least productive members of society for having the ability to produce nothing but offspring, those who demand the wealth of the producers outnumber the producers. The parasites have overwhelmed the host, and the problem is growing.

We are beyond the point of an economic or political solution to our nation's condition. The problem is now genetic, as we have protected, supported, and encouraged the most inept, unintelligent, and unproductive among us to the point that they are the majority. Our own compassion has destroyed the gene pool. The only solution I can see is for the nation to collapse-which it will under a mountain of debt- and the natural forces of famine, pestilence, and plague are allowed to once again cleanse the gene pool.

I agree with you about the depressing state we find our country in today with it's lack of respect for the values we grew up with and the fiscal irresponsibility by both parties. I don't think either party truly represents the people anymore with the Progressive Democrats pulling us towards socialism and the right cowering afraid to stand up for conservative values. This is not the time to simply give up fighting for what is right as I read less than 3% of our founders fought to break away from the grasp of the British. I look around and see so many small groups fighting the same fight with KrisAnn Hall touring around the nation educating people on the Constitution. Schools no longer teach the true meaning to our young people by design. The 10th Amendment center is actively engaged at the state level battling with Governor Scott and others about Federal overreach. I really think the fact King Obama went after our 2nd Amendment rights rather than address the true problems of society has awoken much of the masses. This is one issue that the majority of the country can agree with. As long as we have people like Senator Rand, and Rubio in office we can keep the pressure on our elected officials. Senator Rand in recent days has spoken the truth about Obama's want to be king and his abuse of Executive Fiat. I think as the country is waking we need somehow to bring all these groups together and rejuvinate the Tea Parties across the nation and unite as one massive force for the 2014 / 2016 elections. Anything worth having is worth fighting for and our children depend upon our fight as we did our founders. When I first joined the military during the cold war it was often spoken that the communists never intended on fighting us on the battlefield but rather from within. I think that is now showing up in our government and many policies mirroring that of Hitler. They might be winning the battle however it is my duty to protect against all enemies foreign and domestic. I'm not referring to taking up arms but rather uniting our cause across the nation.
