"If You've Got a Business, You Didn't Build That?"

At first glance, the immediate reaction from everyone I know was "What a clueless idiot! If that didn't drive the final nail in his coffin, I don't know what it will take."

Well, maybe not. The remark, though directly addressed to business builders and owners, was politically addressed to their employees, who outnumber employers by a considerable margin. Yes, this man will further divide the nation, this time employers vs employees, to extend his political tenure. Sadly, this "Divide and deceive"   strategy will work on his target- the undereducated, envious, and unmotivated.

I worked enough years on the wooden end of a shovel to meet a lot of those people, and a dominant attitude was "Like to see the boss-man pour this 40 yards himself! Let's call in sick Monday and see who really runs this business."  I worked with a man locally who complained that at his previous 2 jobs, the owner laid off the last employee 8 full months before closing his doors. In his mind, the owner was staying in business, taking all the money that should have gone to the employees for himself. It never occurred to him that the owner probably had not drawn a paycheck for a year or more, had borrowed from every source available, mortgaged his house, and held on without pay hoping he could save the business.

These are the voters obama was speaking to, and I have little doubt that he has them locked in.

Think a lot of things about obama, but do NOT think him to be politically stupid.
