The High Cost of Government Housing

Posted on March 31, 2012 by Paul Henry, The Tea Party Network (TTPN)

Last October, I wrote about my efforts to assist a member of our community. The woman was living in a terrible mobile home and had applied for a government home under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. My point of view at the time was that we as a community could help this woman in a far more efficient manner than any government program. As it turned out, I was persuaded to allow the government… Continue

Wake up Call

Imagine yourself in a car wreck where you appear to be at fault.  The driver of the other car is of a different race and is killed. The accident is still under investigation, and you have not been charged.

Now imagine the 'new whatever color panther party' offers a $1,000,000 reward to anyone who captures and delivers you to them.

Meanwhile, a wealthy Hollywood director releases what he thinks is your address to the world, though it is in fact the address of a…

The Tea Party Call to Duty

By Sally Zelikovsky

American Thinker

At the time of America's founding, the notion of civic duty was commonplace.  Our entire system was predicated on the idea that citizens would take an active role in the governance of their towns, states, and country.  Little was asked of Americans other than self-governance, jury duty, fighting wars when necessary, protecting the homeland, and living by the rule of law.  In time,… Continue

Where would our group be??

If we offered a $10,000 reward for the capture and delivery of another human being to our organization? No need to name anyone, but I have several in mind.

Would the media yawn and go on to the next kardashian story? Would the Florida Attorney General ignore us? Would the local authorities cower in silence? Would the U.S. Justice Department be okay with that? Would our elected officials DARE remain silent?

"Equal protection under the law" seems to have been evicted from…

Help salvage OWS!

the OWS movement has died down, bu they still have millions of unclaimed "99%" bumper stickers.

At no cost, and with very little effort, they can be modified to represent the % of Americans who think BHO was a huge mistake.…

“If I had a son, he would look like Trayvon”

What on earth does that mean? I considered momentarily that Obama, like all of us, may have made an awkward comment in an emotional moment. We have all done it, feeling compelled to say SOMETHING and coming out with an awkward, if not inappropriate comment.…

(Survival)Food for Thought

We all have one. A friend, relative, or co-worker who we have known for years and who we thought shared our goals, values, and scruples. And then....

we feel like the neighbor who always finds her way to the TV cameras after the latest serial murder/rape or other dastardly deed. “I can't believe it. He seemed like such a nice, dedicated guy. His kids played with our kids, we belonged to the same clubs. I just can't believe he…

Remembering Bill Clinton

Remember the criticism Clinton received, mostly from folks like us, for wetting his finger and sticking it up into the wind to determine the direction of the American people?

Our current President also sticks a finger up into the wind, but not his index finger, and is pointing it in our direction  rather than seeking our direction.

Did you ever think you would hear yourself say "I miss Clinton"?

They are NOT the liberal media!!

Looking back a few decades, it is obvious that calling the mainstream media “liberal” is far from accurate. Perhaps NOT (I did say perhaps)philosophically, but legislatively, the least liberal of the past 24 years has been a media favorite. The most liberal, big-government president ever has been a media favorite as well.

Yes, I am referring to Bill Clinton and B.O., two of the media's all-time…

Calculating the Promiscuity Discount

I assumed the task of selling Patty's old car. It sounded simple- post on Craigslist at a fair price($1500), disclosing every flaw I could think of, and wait for a buyer. I eventually found a buyer, but in the interim experienced first-hand the biggest problem facing our nation.

The first…

With dedication and hard work, the Republicans can retain the House and regain the Senate.

Most of us spent a lot of time and money in 2010 to send the right message, and the right people to Washington. It is time to decide if we will expend the same energy in 2012.

The big question in my mind is "Will it make a difference?" If we elect a Congress that again votes for the timid, emasculated McConnel and Boehner to leadership positions, will we have gained anything?

I have no time nor tolerance for politicians who go about apologizing FOR the very…
