Come here and ask questions of a grassroots conservative running for Florida Senate, Dist 24, Bart Carmichael. Bart has been active in the Conservative movement and he has stepped up to the plate to run. He is a proud member of the 9,12 movement in Brevard.
Thad Altman, speaking at the NBRC, May 24 "we will have to raise property taxes". Will Bart? Find out.

We are meeting again at Cafe Chocolat as the Italian Rest. at Garden/I-95 was not eager to have us there. Sorry for the late change, tough finding places to meet. If everyone is willing to chip in $2 we can reserve a place, most want $60 for the evening..

They have changed the rules now and you can speak on anything you want for FIVE minutes. I couldn't believe how fast 5 minutes went by when I talked against Amtrak.
Tomorrow is a "special" meeting and therefore the public can ONLY speak on budget items, there is no open forum.
If you can't make it, be sure and watch it on Ch. 99.

Also if any of you have Don"t Tread On Me flags or even signs they should be brought to the council chambers.

At council they have a part which is set up for public comments. If we could get at least 50 people to this meeting and hve each oif us speak to the maximum of three minutes first on the budget and then on the regular council meeting that would be a way for them to possibly listen and that we mean business.

We need to have a Tea Party opposing this council's radical leftist agenda along with opposition of the leftist federal agenda..

Comment by Don Forward on May 31, 2010 at 12:30am: Sometimes we waite too long to respond to City Engineering Dept. We need to pay closer attention to this department including the "code enforcement" within the department.
By the way, Sparkies still has his yard signs (and mine) outside his business, in fact he added another one to make it an even dozen. Come to find out it was code enforcement that made the call to remove the signs but not those of other businesses in town. Code enforcement didn't like the anti-bHo signs, but I guess he does approve of the "bHo healthcare NOW signs".

Comment by Don Forward on May 30, 2010 at 11:30pm: At least they put a hold on the 50 foot buffer zone until the next meeting. I was there when they changed it from 30 to 50 and it was "because I think it would be better for the community". No other backing at the time but here it is, still being pushed through. Just think what will happen if this gets approved AND Amend 4 gets approved. I sure would not like to be a property owner with any kind of a boundry on a wet lands.

Comment by Al Gutierrez on May 30, 2010 at 9:09pm: This Tuesday if everything goes well I will be present at the Titusville Budget Workshop. We should not tolerate any increases in property taxes whatsoever its bad enough that this Council had increased them last year for this year.

Additionally at the regularly scheduled Council meeting the environmentalists socialists are once again up to their own thing. This time requiring buffer zones or set backs of 50 feet for property to so called protect waterways etc. This is anti-busoiness, it is anti capitalist and most of all gores against property rights. We nweed to come out in very strong opposition to this and not ask but demand that our rights be respected as our rights come from God and not from socialist local government like the Titusville City Council. These Council ,members do not care about the constitution or property rights or capitalism. This year three members of council are up for re-election. Let us make our voices heard. It would be good to bring "Dont tread On Me Flags and show them off in Council chambers. We need to fill the chambers with as many of us as possible.

These five council members need to know that we are here for the duration and that we will defend our property rights and free market capitalist system. Enough with these environmentalists and their socialist agenda. I know of this as I had served on tghe Titusville Envoironemntal Commission for two years and saw their real socialist agenda. I tried to promote free markets for resolution of any environmental issues. However they tried to block me every step of the way. We need to be very, very vocal in our opposition. Just one other situation about one year ago they tried to impose on us a firee assesment fee. When they sought imput from the public I went to one of their workshops at night. Three of the present sitting council members were not there. Only one did show up to listen. That one member I saw there was one Council member The others were not present at all. That reminds me of when none of our members of congress in distriict 24 did not hold any town hall meetings. That should say right there they do not seem to care. I do not trust government I do not trust this City Council
