Richard Gillmor spoke at the Space Coast Patriots meeting Monday 12 June and sent this email to them:
Connie;  Thank you so much for your hospitality last night.  I really enjoyed the back and forth, the questions that your group posed and their perspectives on how we need to limit the Federal Government.  I share those beliefs as well.  Moving into this election cycle it's important to understand that we need to radically re-think how we do Government in the coming years.  As intelligent voters, we're not going to fall for the same old cliches, voiced by the same old politicians,  the career politicians who say one thing on the campaign trail and vote another way when they get re-elected!  I am running on a platform of term limits, a balanced federal budget, and a burning desire to enact a national energy policy that gets us off foreign oil and seeks to find clean alternative fuels for the future.  Basing a national energy center here on the Cape will certainly go a long way to re-energize our local economy and get some folks back to work.  As I indicated last night, my campaign is one of grass roots support.  I don't expect large contributions to come rolling in from either corporate PACS or from labor unions.  I'll be running my campaign on the 50, 100, and 250.00 contributions from private citizens who are fed up with the status quo!
If there are any more opportunities to speak at your meetings please let me know and I'll try to fit them into my schedule.  If in the future you are considering co-sponsoring something like the Hob Nob please let me know as well.
                        Best Regards;   Richard Gillmor
