You’ve heard of egregious examples of waste, fraud, and abuse at all levels of government. But we can no longer afford to sit by and wait for the government or mainstream media to fully inform the public about what’s really going on behind closed doors.

The time has come for citizen watchdogs to stand up and take action.

Please join us on Saturday, May 19, from 9am to 5pm, at the Sheraton Orlando Downtown Hotel to learn how you can get involved and hold our elected officials accountable.

Confirmed Speakers:

James O'Keefe, ACORN Whistleblower
Slade O'Brien, AFP-Florida
Brandon Darby, Former FBI Informant
Katie Pavlich, TownHall.com
Anita Moncrief, Boots of Liberty Taskforce
Jack Funari, BIZPAC Review
Tom Tillison, Florida Political Press
Chris Cinquemani, Foundation for Government Accountability

The Franklin Center for Government & Public Integrity will provide a full day of in-depth training to equip you with the tools and skills to become a more effective activist and citizen watchdog. You will learn how to use investigative reporting skills, how to impact the state and local government budgeting process, and how to advance your message through social media.

Sounds like just the media panel part of the event would have been worth the trip. Great videos on the BizMart report. Hearing really good things about other parts of the event. These kinds of panels with everyday people are very interesting. Need to do more of them. Vote for Tom Tillison as the Breightbart "blogger" here http://breitbartawards.com/

The Franklin Center for Government & Public Integrity is hosting ‘Citizen Watchdog Training‘ in Orlando on Saturday, May 19th.
Without a doubt, this event will be the best exposure to citizen activism and the impact it can have that Central Florida will see.  An absolute can’t miss opportunity to hear from the very best and to learn how you too can become a citizen watchdog.
The program features investigative journalist and president of Project Veritas James O’Keefe as the keynote speaker, former FBI informer Brandon Darby and former ACORN activist Anita Moncrief, along with Americans for Prosperity-FL and the James Madison Institute among others.
This will be an all day training program that covers effective activism, citizen journalism, investigative reporting, how to impact the state and local government budgeting process and how to advance your message through social media.
And, to make the program totally irresistible, your humble correspondent will be participating in a panel discussion on state politics along with BizPac Review’s Jack Funari and Sandi Gehring from CopyDoneRight.com, moderated by AFP-FL’s Slade O’Brein.
There is a minimal $10 registration fee and you can register for the class HERE.

I wanted to make sure you are invited to attend a Citizen Watchdog training over in Orlando that will be hosted by the Franklin Center on Saturday, May 19th.

Two of The James Madison Institute journalists, Will Patrick and Bill Mattox, will be leading a panel at 10:20 A.M. There are also a number of other great panels and speakers throughout the day including a lunch keynoted by my friend James O’Keefe (he’s the one that took down ACORN with his investigative videos). His presentations are wildly entertaining.

More details and registration are here: http://www.floridapoliticalpress.com/2012/05/03/franklin-center-to-...

It simply requires a $10 registration fee and lunch is included. I will also be in attendance and look forward to seeing you if you can join us.

Whether or not you can attend, please feel free to pass this invitation on to others who may benefit. We have a big year ahead of us! Thanks for all you do to advance liberty and hold our elected officials accountable.
