We’ve been campaigning very hard, but on Saturday evening, July 10th, we are going to take a Bluegrass and BBQ break from the politics. No political speeches – just some really good bluegrass music performed by HomeSpun (this a local Mims group and you will not be disappointed!). Though the music is free, I am asking that each person consider making a small campaign contribution – yeah, I know I said no politics, but the music is worth it. There will be two shows….one at 6:30PM and another at 7:30PM at Home Furniture in Mims (address below). You can stay for both shows as the song lineup will be different, but since the music hall is small, I do ask that you consider others and pick one of the shows. No RSVP required, first come first seated.
The Mims Volunteer Fire Department (in walking distance behind Home Furniture) will be serving up some of the “best Boston Butt BBQ around” on that same day! The Mims VFD is an outstanding group of folks who volunteer their services in public safety and this BBQ helps them raise some funds. The cost is $7 and they are serving Pulled Boston Butt, Cole Slaw, Choice of BBQ Beans or Mac-n-Cheese, Dinner Roll and Tea.

Come at 6:30PM, hear some really good bluegrass music, then head over to the Mims VFD at 7:30 for a BBQ dinner ($7 dinner) - OR - Come at 6:30PM, grab some BBQ at the VFD, then catch some bluegrass music at 7:30PM.
Either way, I hope you can make it! This will be fun and enjoyable evening, and I look forward to seeing you.
In God and Liberty,
Roger
PS: I’ve invited candidates for other offices (no contributions requested from them – they have their own campaigns to fund) and current elected officials as well. So this will be a good opportunity to meet them and talk with them as well.
